Lunar Mansion Report, June 23, 2025 to June 29, 2025

This is an entry in a continuing series of posts looking at the Moon's position and condition in the week ahead with an eye to the Mansions of the Moon. This is an exercise to help track the speed of the Moon, organize my thoughts on the Mansions, and think about the practical applications.

All times are for me locally, United States Pacific Time. I will be making note of the Moon's phase, speed, and Mansion position in my assessment. Currently, I'm not considering aspects with other planets.

Lunar Mansion Report, June 23, 2025 to June 29, 2025

Monday, June 23rd, 2025. The Moon is in Almices, the Brilliant One, when June 23rd begins. At 2:53am the Moon then moves into the next Mansion, Alhana, the Mark. The Moon remains in that Mansion until 11:44pm and then moves into a third Mansion, Aldira, the Forearm, to finish the day. The phase is Waning Crescent which is wrathful and best for works of death and abrupt endings.

The Moon will travel through Almices for 20 hours and 54 minutes, which is fast. The Moon will then transit across Alhana for 20 hours and 51 minutes so the Moon is fast and accelerating. In fact, this is the Moon's fastest period this cycle. A fast Moon may make magic happen more quickly but may also make those effects dissipate more quickly.

Almices is such a favorable Mansion that the only wrathful power listed in the Ghayat al Hakim, the Latin Picatrix, Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy, and Nigel Jackson's Celestial Magic is the sabotage and ruining of partnerships or relationships. Alternately, the beneficial powers of increased intellect and favor can be turned on their heads.

The image in the Latin Picatrix for this Mansion is a disembodied head, the seat of sight, hearing, and understanding.

The wrathful powers of Alhana include corrupting cities and confining them, retaliating from kings, inflicting harm and damage on enemies, ruining crops and trusts causing adverse effects of medication (Ghayat al Hakim), to break resistance (Celestial Magic), and to impede the work of physicians (Agrippa).

The image for Alhana in the Latin Picatrix is a white man embracing a white woman. The title The Mark refers to a mark signifying ownership, like a brand on livestock. This is a Mansion of declaring commitments. Another symbol for it might be a wedding ring. The white man and the white woman are twin halves of a whole and Alhana weds them together.

The wrathful powers of Aldira include disposing of property, a house or money or similar assets from a person (Ghayat al Hakim), to expel flies so that they will not enter where you wish, to destroy officials (Latin Picatrix), to rid oneself of annoying or distracting influences and destroy tyrannous power structures (Celestial Magic).

The image for this Mansion is a man raising his arms as if supplicating to heaven. The traditional indicator stars for this Mansion are Castor and Pollox, the twins from Greek myth. These stars have been equated with twins for a long, long time. One was a celestial twin the other was an underworld twin. The man with his hands raised is one twin calling to the other in the other world. This is a Mansion suited to creating spiritual alliances.

The Moon ends June 23rd in Aldira.

Tuesday, June 24th, 2025. The Moon is in Aldira at the beginning of June 24th. At 8:44pm the Moon moves into the next Mansion, Annathra, the Gap. The phase is Waning Crescent, which is wrathful and supports works of cutting off and snuffing out. At 1:28pm the Moon moves to within 8˚ of the Sun and is therefore combust. This enhances the wrathful qualities of the Moon. The Moon will remain combust for the remainder of June 24th.

It will take the Moon 21 hours to get through Aldira. This is pretty fast but it is 9 minutes longer than the previous Mansion so the Moon is slowing down. A fast Moon can make magic manifest quickly but may also make the effects fade quickly.

The man with his hands raised is one twin calling to the other in the other world. This is a Mansion suited to creating spiritual alliances.

The wrathful powers of Annathra include lengthening the imprisionment of captives and prisoners, the deterioration of kingdoms, to repel mice and bedbugs (Ghayat al Hakim), the destruction and affliction of captives (Latin Picatrix), war-magic, drive away infestations, and powerfully restrain negative forces (Celestial Magic).

The image for Annathra in the Latin Picatrix is an eagle with a man's face. The eagle is a frequent military image signifying fierceness, speed, and power. Annathra’s title, The Gap, was imagined to be the gap between the lion constellation’s jaws, or maybe under his chin. The essence of Annathra’s power to grant victory in battle is in being able to escape danger.

The Moon ends June 24th in Annathra.

Wednesday, June 25th, 2025. The Moon is in Annathra, the Gap, when June 25th begins and remains in this Mansion until 5:59pm when the Moon enters the next Mansion, Atarfa, the Glare of the Lion. At the beginning of June 25th the phase is Waning Crescent and combust. The New Moon, when the Moon makes a conjunction aspect with the Sun, happens at 3:32am. This moment of conjunction is extremely beneficial but only last for roughly 90 seconds. It is called Cazimi. Afterward, the Moon moves back into combustion with the Sun and remains wrathful until she moves past 8˚ at 5:46pm. At this point the Waxing Crescent phase begins and the Moon becomes beneficial.

The Moon travels through Annathra for 21 hours and 15 minutes. This is fast but is 15 minutes longer than the previous Mansion so the Moon is decelerating. A fast Moon can make magic happen quickly but may also make the effects dissipate quickly.

The beneficial powers of Annathra are for reconciling love and friendship to an estranged couple, the welfare of travelers (Gayat al Hakim), to excel in battle, (Ibn Hatim), for love and friendship, and for the safe travel of those who travel in wagons through the countryside, and to cause friendship between allies, gaining victory (Latin Picatrix), increase protective force and grant a victorious outcome in contests, promotes sympathy, friendship and like-minded company (Celestial Magic).

The essence of Annathra’s power to grant victory in battle is in being able to escape danger.

The beneficial powers of Atarfa include emoving ophthalmia and disease of the eyes and the flow of blood (Ibn Hatim), to help a man defend himself from being attacked by another man (Latin Picatrix), and to gain protection against the machinations of rivals and against claims made upon a person by another (Celestial Magic).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for this Mansion is a eunuch covering his eyes with his hands. In multiple sources this Mansion has rather negative connotations so the list of beneficial powers is light.

The Moon ends June 25th in Atarfa.

Thursday, June 26th, 2025. At the beginning of June 26th the Moon is in Atarfa, the Glare of the Lion. At 3:42pm the Moon moves into the next Mansion, Algebha, the Brow of the Lion. The phase is Waxing Crescent which is best for works of beginning and revealing.

The Moon will travel through Atarfa for 21 hours and 43 minutes. This is fast and 28 minutes longer than the previous Mansion so the Moon is slowing down. A fast Moon can make magic happen quickly but may also make the effects pass quickly.

The beneficial powers of Algebha are reconciling differences between spouses, strengthening the structure of a building, bringing partners together for their mutual benefit (Gayat al Hakim), curing diseases, to see wonders (Ibn Hatim), for love between husband and wife, the strengthening and completion of buildings, for the love of allies and fore their mutual help, cure infirmities, ease childbirth (Latin Picatrix), attract optimism and benevolence, and it is efficacious for all love magic (Celestial Magic).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for this Mansion is a lion's head. The Mansion embodies the symbolic qualities of a lion; strength, power, and nobility. The traditional indicator star for this Mansion is Regulus, Cor Leonis, the Heart of the Lion, also called the King Star. Regulus is one of the 15 Behenian Stars. Agrippa writes, "Under Cor Leonis they made an image of a lion, cat, or the figure of a respected man sitting in a chair: these make a man temperate, keep anger away, and give grace."

The Moon is in Algebha when June 26th ends.

Friday, June 27th, 2025. The Moon is in Algebha, the Brow of the Lion as June 27th begins. The next Mansion, Azobra, the Mane of the Lion, begins at 2:00pm. The phase is Waxing Crescent which is good for works of initiation and sowing.

It will take the Moon 22 hours and 18 minutes to go through Algebha. This is 35 minutes longer than the previous Mansion, so the Moon is slowing down, but it is still fast. A fast Moon can make magic happen more quickly but may also make the effects pass more quickly.

The beneficial powers of Azobra are to rescue captives, to organize trade and profit from it, for travelers on the road to travel safely and unharmed, to strengthen buildings, increase the wealth of allies, to be feared and receive good things (Latin Picatrix), for fear, reverence, and veneration (Agrippa), to regain lost affection, and to enjoy prosperity and an optimistic mindset (Celestial Magic).

The image for this Mansion in the Latin Picatrix is a man riding the back of a lion holding its ear in his hand. In its most beneficial aspect the lion is fully controlled by the figure on its back and adds its ferocity and strength to the figure’s bearing (despite the figure’s somewhat precarious position). This concept of being next to danger but safe from it is a big theme of Azobra.

The Moon ends June 27th in Azobra.

Saturday, June 28th, 2025. The Moon begins June 28th in Azobra, the Lion's Mane. At 12:58pm the Moon moves into the next Mansion, Asarfa, the Lion’s Tail. The phase is Waxing Crescent which is good for making tools and consecration.

The Moon moves through Azobra for 22 hours and 58 minutes. This is fast but it is 40 minutes longer than the previous Mansion so she is slowing down. A fast Moon may make magic happen quickly but may also make the effects pass quickly.

The beneficial powers of Asarfa are increasing farms and newly planted trees, promoting the welfare of partners as well as for reconciling differences between them for improved work conditions and product, improving conditions for successful hunting (Gayat al Hakim), increase harvests, the improvement of allies, officials, captives, and servants that they will be steadfast and honest (Latin Picatrix), and brings help and benevolence (Celestial Magic).

In the Latin Picatrix the image for this Mansion is a dragon fighting a man made in black lead. It is described as an image of breaking and separating. In its beneficial form this image could be used to break from addiction or unhealthy situations or relationships.

The Moon is in Asarfa at the end of June 28th.

Sunday, June 29th, 2025. The Moon is in Asarfa, the Tail if the Lion at the beginning of June 29th. At 12:42pm the Moon makes ingress into the next Mansion, Alawway, the Barker. The phase is Waxing Crescent which is good for works awakening and revelation.

The Moon will travel through Asarfa for 23 hours and 44 minutes  This is 46 minutes longer than the previous Mansion so the Moon is slowing down. This is also on the slower side of average so the Moon is slow. A slow Moon may delay the effects of magic but may make those effects last longer.

The beneficial powers of Alawway include promoting trade and farms, enhancing the welfare of a traveler, the consumption of marriage between spouses, for releasing captives, to contact kings and dignitaries (Gayat al Hakim), for the excitation of sexual intercourse (Ibn Hatim), increase of trade and profit, increase of harvests, completion of buildings, for the liberation of men who are not able to come to women, to put love between a man and a woman, to dissolve binding that a man will be able to perform with a woman (Latin Picatrix), for benevolence, gain, voyages, harvests, and freedom of captives (Agrippa), for learning every kind of thing (Shams al Marif).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for this Mansion is a red man embracing a white woman. This is an image of oppisites joining into a harmonious whole. The sexual overtones of this image suggest that each of the opposites desires unity with the other and the power dynamic is more or less equitable.

The Moon is in Alawway at the end of June 29th.

Lunar Mansion Report, June 16, 2025 to June 22, 2025

This is an entry in a continuing series of posts looking at the Moon's position and condition in the week ahead with an eye to the Mansions of the Moon. This is an exercise to help track the speed of the Moon, organize my thoughts on the Mansions, and think about the practical applications.

Lunar Mansion Report, June 16, 2025 to June 22, 2025

Monday, June 16th, 2025. The Moon is in Al Fargh al Awwal, the Upper Waterspout, when June 16th begins. The Moon continues through that Mansion until 6:50pm and then moves into the next Mansion, Al Fargh al Thani, the Lower Waterspout. The phase is Waning Gibbous which is best for works of diminishment and decline.

The Moon travels through Al Argh al Awwal for 23 hours and 16 minutes. This is fast and it is 11 minutes less than the previous Mansion, so the Moon is accelerating. A fast Moon can make magic happen more quickly but may also make those effect dissipate more quickly.

The wrathful powers of Al Fargh al Awwal include damaging the relationships between partners, restraining a captive and torturing him (Gayat al Hakim), and destroyeth prisons and buildings (Agrippa).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for this Mansion is a woman washing her hair in a basin. This is an image of spiritual cleansing as Al Fargh al Awwal controls the subtle and lustral waters, the holy and blessed waters.

The wrathful powers of Al Fargh al Thani include damaging the assets of a person you are concerned with, damaging the relationship between spouses, hurting someone riding on a ship, prolonging the captivity of a prisoner (Gayat al Hakim), to impede the building of buildings, and for the destruction of springs and wells (Latin Picatrix).

The image in the Latin Picatrix is a man with wings holding a vessel. Al Fargh al Thani is the Lower Waterspout and represents the waters of physical healing. These are the vivifying waters of life. In Nigel Jackson's Celestial Magic, he suggests Al Fargh al Thani is powerful for operations of prophecy and foreknowledge.

The Moon is in Al Fargh al Thani when June 16th ends.

Tuesday, June 17th, 2025. The Moon is in Al Fargh al Thani when June 17th begins. The Moon remains in that Mansion until 5:41pm and transits into the next Mansion, Arexhe, the Rope. The phase is Waning Gibbous, which is wrathful and gives strength to works of  contraction and lessening.

The Moon will travel through Al Fargh al Thani for 22 hours and 51 minutes. This is fast and it is 35 minutes less than the previous Mansion so the Moon is speeding up. A fast Moon may make magical effects manifest quickly but may also make those effects more temporary.

The wrathful powers of Al Batn al Hut are destroying trusts, restraining and harming prisoners, hurting someone riding on a ship (Gayat al Hakim), besiege cities, get rid of things, cdetroy an area, make treasures be lost, to make the incarceration of captives firm, and inflict evil on sailors at sea (Latin Picatrix)

The image in the Latin Picatrix for Al Batn al Hut is a fish with a colored spine, a bit of sympathetic magic for attracting more fish to a particular spot. In my own mind there is a connection to the stories of a person being eaten by a fish or a whale and later being expelled.

The Moon is in Arexhe when June 17th ends.

Wednesday, June 18th, 2025. The Moon is in Arexhe, the Rope, when June 18th begins. At 4:07pm the Moon moves into the next Mansion, Alnath, the Butting One. The phase is Waning Gibbous at the beginning if the day, which supports works of subtraction and division, but at 12:19pm the Moon makes a square aspect with the Sun and the phase changes to Waning Crescent, which supports works of abrupt endings and obfuscation.

The Moon will travel through Arexhe for 22 hours and 26 minutes. This is 25 minutes less than the previous Mansion so the Moon is fast and accelerating. A fast Moon may make magic happen more quickly but may also make magic dissipate more quickly.

The wrathful powers of Alnath include to kill enemies, guards for demolition and crushing (Ibn Hatim), create discord and enmity between spouses or friends, to sabotage a partnership with fiery evil (Ghayat al Hakim), for destruction and depopulation, and to kill (Latin Picatrix).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for Alnath is a a black man with his hair wrapped and encircled, standing on his feet, having a spear in his right hand in the manner of a warrior. Alnath is a rather grim Mansion in which works of destruction are empowered.

The Moon is in Alnath when June 18th ends.

Thursday, June 19th, 2025. The Moon is in Alnath, the Butting One, when June 19th begins. The Moon remains in that Mansion until 2:07pm and then steps into the next Mansion, Albotayn, the Little Belly. The phase is Waning Crescent which is good for works of snuffing out and extinguishing.

The Moon travels through Alnath for exactly 22 hours. This is 26 minutes less than the previous Mansion. The Moon is fast and accelerating. A fast Moon can make magic happen more quickly but may also make magic fade quickly.

The wrathful powers of Albotayn include to sabotage a marriage before it can be consummated, to worsen the conditions of a captive to harm them (Ghayat al Hakim), destruction of buildings before they can be completed, and to enrage one man against another (Latin Picatrix).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for Albotayn is a king on a throne. The approximate Chinese Seiu that corresponds to Albotayn is The Storeroom. Combined with the talismanic purposes of digging wells and finding hidden treasure, in my mind, the king is an underworld figure, a king in his sepulcher, surrounded by his riches.

The Moon ends June 19th in Albotayn.

Friday, June 20th, 2025. The Moon begins the day in Albotayn, the Little Belly, and then moves in to the next Mansion, Azoraye, the Many Little Ones, at 11:43am. The phase is Waning Crescent, which supports works of cutting off and abrupt endings.

The Moon moves through Albotayn for 21 hours and 36 minutes. This is 24 minutes less than the previous Mansion which means the Moon is fast and speeding up. A fast Moon may make magic happen more quickly but may also make it dissipate more quickly.

The wrathful powers of Albotayn include to sabotage a marriage before it can be consummated, to worsen the conditions of a captive to harm them (Ghayat al Hakim), destruction of buildings before they can be completed, and to enrage one man against another (Latin Picatrix).

Combined with the talismanic purposes of digging wells and finding hidden treasure, in my mind, the king is an underworld figure, a king in his sepulcher, surrounded by his riches.

The wrathful powers of Azoraye include sabotaging a partnership, torturing a prisoner, destroying sheep, goats, and cows (Ghayat al Hakim), to firmly incarcerate captives (Latin Picatrix). Overall, Azoraye is considered very beneficial so wrathful qualities are very few. One could use the wrathful time to interrupt or take away the good things and luck that this Mansion usually represents.

The image in the Latin Picatrix for Azoraye is a seated woman with her right hand above her head. Given the overwhelming positivity associated with this Mansion this is most likely a gesture of blessing. The traditional indicator stars for this Mansion are the Pleiades, the Seven Sisters, a grouping of stars with a long and legendary past. The Pleiades are one of the 15 Behenian stars whose powers include, according to Agrippa, "brings an increase to light of the eyes, collects daemons, promotes winds, and reveals secrets and hidden things." And the image is "a virgin girl or the figure of a torch".

The Moon ends June 20th in Azoraye.

Saturday, June 21st, 2025. The Moon is in Azoraye, the Many Little Ones, when June 21st begins. The Moon moves into the next Mansion, Aldebaran, the Bull's Eye, at 9:01am. The phase is Waning Crescent which supports works of death and misery.

The Moon will travel through Azoraye for 21 hours and 18 minutes, which is 18 minutes less than the previous Mansion. The Moon is fast and getting faster. A fast Moon may make magic happen more quickly but may also make those effects more ephemeral.

The wrathful powers of Aldebaran include to corrupt a city, to build a building not expected to last or stay in good condition, destroying crops, ruining a relationship between spouses, to bring bad luck to one digging buried goods, attract scorpions and snakes (Ghayat al Hakim), for enmity and hatred (Ibn Hatim), to make a lord despise his servant, destroy fountains and streams (Latin Picatrix), and to cause fear, submission, and uncertainty (Celestial Magic).

The image of Aldebaran in the Latin Picatrix is a knight on horseback holding a viper in his hand. This image is very similar to more than a few goetic spirits from the Lemegeton. A wrathful Aldebaran is the king killer.

The Moon ends June 21st in Aldebaran.

Sunday June 22nd, 2025. The Moon is in Aldebaran, the Bull's Eye, when June 22nd begins. The Moon makes ingress into the next Mansion, Almices, the Brilliant One, at 6:01am. The phase is Waning Crescent which is best for works of darkness and occultation.

The Moon will travel through Aldebaran for 21 hours exactly, which is 18 minutes less than the previous Mansion. This means the Moon is fast and getting faster. A fast Moon may make magic happen quickly but may also make those effects dissipate more quickly.

Lunar Mansion Report, June 9, 2025 to June 15, 2025

This is an entry in a continuing series of posts looking at the Moon's position and condition in the week ahead with an eye to the Mansions of the Moon. This is an exercise to help track the speed of the Moon, organize my thoughts on the Mansions, and think about the practical applications.

All times are for me locally, United States Pacific Time. I will be making note of the Moon's phase, speed, and Mansion position in my assessment. Currently, I'm not considering aspects with other planets.

Lunar Mansion Report, June 9, 2025 to June 15, 2025

Monday, June 9th, 2025. The Moon is in Axaula, the Sting of the Scorpion, when June 9th begins. The Moon remains in that Mansion until 4:27pm and then moves into the next Mansion, Alnaym, the Beam or the Ostriches. The phase is Waxing Gibbous which is best for works of initiation and revelations.

The Moon will travel through Axaula from 2:43pm on June 8th until 4:27pm on June 9th. This is a period of 25 hours and 44 minutes, which is slow. It is 13 minutes less than the previous Mansion so the Moon is speeding up. A slow Moon may make magic manifest slowly but may also make magical effects more durable.

The beneficial powers of Axaula are fullfilling wishes, for the welfare of a traveler, for the growth of crops, for releasing a slave and enabling him to escape his master (Ghayat al Hakim), and to improve the lot of men traveling by wagon through the countryside (Latin Picatrix).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for Axaula is a woman with her hands covering her face. The special power of Axaula is as a purgative, especially to bring on menstrual bleeding. Repulsion, expulsion, and forceful pushing are all under the influence of Axaula. The gesture of a woman covering her face is one of despair.

The beneficial powers of Alnaym include the discipline of riding animals that are hard to tame, speedy travel and making the distance shorter, bring a concerned person home, promoting friendship (Ghayat al Hakim), to tame wild and disobedient beasts, to bring those traveling in wagons swiftly back again, for men to come wherever you wish, for good people to be joined together, fortune in hunting (Latin Picatrix), and the arousal of peace, love, and friendship (Liber Lunae).

The image of Alnaym in the Latin Picatrix is a centaur shooting a bow. The power ascribed to it is for finding and taking whatever you hunt. It is also for taming wild beasts.

The Moon is in Alnaym at the end of June 9th.

Tuesday, June 10th, 2025. The Moon is in Alnaym, the Beam or the Ostriches, when June 10th begins. At 5:50pm the Moon moves into the next Mansion, Albelda, the Wasteland, and is in that Mansion for the rest of the day. The phase is Waxing Gibbous which supports works of abundance and augmentation.

The Moon will travel through Alnaym for 25 hours and 23 minutes. This is slow but speeding up, being 21 minutes less than the previous Mansion. A slow Moon may make magic take effect more slowly but can also make those effects longer lasting.

The beneficial powers of Albelda are stabilizing buildings, increasing crops, retaining assets and live stock, ensuring the safety of travelers (Ghayat al Hakim), to increase harvests, make a profit and firmly keep money, to go safely through the countryside (Latin Picatrix), safeguard travelers, and house-protection (Celestial Magic), and works of cooperation and silence (Liber Lunae).

The image for Albelda in the Latin Picatrix is a man with a head like Janus, with one face on the front and another face on the back of the head. Janus was the Roman god of the threshold, the place in between, and marked passages. In my experience Albelda is a Mansion of waiting, holding, and immobility.

The Moon ends June 10th in Albelda.

Wednesday, June 11th, 2025. The Moon is in Albelda, the Wasteland, when June 11th begins. At 6:54pm the Moon makes ingress into the next Mansion, Sadahaca, the Lucky Star of the Salughterers. The phase at the very beginning of June 11th is Waxing Gibbous but very soon after midnight, at 12:43am, the Moon is in opposition to the Sun and the Full Moon strikes. After that the phase is Waning Gibbous. A Waning Gibbous Moon is good for works of diminishment and decline.

The Moon will take 25 hours and 4 minutes to get through Albelda. This is 19 minutes less than the previous Mansion, so the Moon is slow but accelerating. A slow Moon may delay magic but may also make it longer lasting.

The wrathful powers of Sadahaca include separation between kings and wazirs (Ibn Hatim), separation of spouses and lovers, for a woman to be raped and discord between partners (Gayat al Hakim), to bind tongues against slander (Latin Picatrix), evil (Liber Luneae), and to agitate rulers into wrath and to hide secrets (Shams al Marif).

The image for this Mansion in the Latin Picatrix is "the figure of a man with winged feet wearing a helmet", a very Mercurial image. Considered together with the title of this Mansion, The Lucky Star of the Slaughterers, this Mansion has connotations of spiritual communication. The slaughterers are those who make the animal sacrifice to the gods. During this Mansion making entreaties to heaven and making offerings to seek favors and boons are greatly enhanced as are devotional acts of giving.

Thursday, June 12th, 2025. The Moon is in Sadahaca, the Lucky Star of the Slaughterers, when June 12th begins. At 7:36pm the Moon steps into the next Mansion, Zaadebola, the Lucky Star of the Devourers. The phase is Waning Gibbous which supports works of contraction and loss.

The Moon will travel through Sadahaca from 6:54pm on June 11th until 7:36pm on June 12th. That is a period of 24 hours and 42 minutes, still slow but accelerating by 22 minutes against the previous Mansion. A slow Moon can slow the effects of magic but may also make those effects last longer.

A wrathful Zaadebola has the strength to impose ruin and disease on whomever you wish (Ibn Hatim), damaging assets, causing estrangement between spouses (Gayat al Hakim), divide husbands from their wives, destruction and devastation (Latin Picatrix), and to inflict destruction and wasting (Celestial Magic).

The image for Zaadebola in the Latin Picatrix is a cat with a dog’s head. The head and the body are at odds, each wanting to do violence to the other. Ultimately, neither is left the winner. Pitting a group against its leaders for the purpose of destroying the entire group would be a wrathful work that is strengthened in this Mansion.

Friday, June 13th, 2025. The Moon is in Zaadebola, the Lucky Star of the Devourers, when June 13th begins. At 7:56pm the Moon makes ingress into the next Mansion, Caadezod, the Lucky Star of the Lucky. The phase is Waning Gibbous which supports works of division and subtraction.

The Moon will travel through Zaadebola for 24 hours and 20 minutes, which is 22 minutes less than the previous Mansion. This means the Moon is slow but accelerating. A slow Moon can delay the effects of magic but may make those effect more enduring.

The wrathful powers of Caadezod are driving away reptiles (Ibn Hatim), destroy the money of allies, prevent officials from completing their duties (Latin Picatrix), and hindereth the execution of government (Agrippa).

The image in the Latin Picatrix is a woman breastfeeding a child. In most sources this Mansion is very beneficial. I associate this Mansion image with Amalthea, the nymph who hid and nursed baby Zeus until he was grown and strong enough to confront Saturn. This would suggest to me that keeping plans, projects, or conspiracies hidden from their intended target is accentuated when the Moon is in this Mansion.

The Moon ends June 13th in Caadezod.

Saturday, June 14th, 2025. The Moon is in Caadezod, the Lucky Star of the Lucky, when June 14th begins. The Moon remains in this Mansion until 7:57pm. That is when the Moon moves into the next Mansion, Zaadelahbia, the Lucky Star of Hidden Things. The phase is Waning Gibbous which supports works of destabilization and confusion.

The Moon will travel through Caadezod for 24 hours and one minute. This is slow but 19 minutes faster than the previous Mansion so the Moon is accelerating. A slow Moon may delay the effects of magic but may also make those effects more enduring.

The wrathful qualities of Zaadalahbia are to besiege cities, take enemies captive and do evil to them, separate wives from husbands, destroy harvests, to bind any part of the human body so it will not function, and strengthen the prisons of captives (Latin Picatrix).

The image in the Latin Picatrix for this Mansion is a man planting a tree and spreading seeds. Things developing under the surface are empowered in Zaadalahbia. In its wrathful form keeping things from growing or developing is strengthened.

The Moon is in Zaadelahbia when June 14th comes to a close.

Sunday, June 15th, 2025. The Moon is in Zaadelahbia, the Lucky Star of Hidden Things, when June 15th begins. At 7:34pm the Moon moves into the next Mansion, Al Fargh al Awwal, the Upper Waterspout, and spends the rest of the day in that Mansion. The phase is Waning Gibbous, which is best for works of diminishment and loss.

The Moon will take 23 hours and 37 minutes to travel through Zaadelahbia. This is just at the tipping point between being fast and slow and, because the Moon is accelerating, I am considering its motion as fast in this Mansion. The Moon is still accelerating, spending 24 minutes less in Zaadelahbia than the previous Mansion. A fast Moon may make magic take effect quickly but may also make those effects dissipate quickly.

This is an image of spiritual cleansing as Al Fargh al Awwal controls the subtle and lustral waters, the holy and blessed waters.), and destroyeth prisons and buildings (Agrippa).
